It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the English section of the AIEQ website.
The AIEQ (Association internationale des études québécoises) [International Association of Quebec Studies] was created in 1997 in order to promote knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Quebec all over the world. The Association emerged thanks to the initiative from a group of scholars, from Quebec and abroad, and to the support of the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie. It became a dynamic network of professors, researchers, and students who chose Quebec as a subject of study in a variety of disciplinary fields.
In April 2018, a partnership was formed with the Québec Research Funds, a key player in the Quebec research community. This partnership opened new horizons for our québéciste network internationally.
This collaboration between the AIEQ and the Québec Research Funds network offers excellent opportunities to develop an interdisciplinary approach. It promotes new synergies among AIEQ network members and scientists and specialists from other disciplines, both in Quebec and elsewhere in the world.
AIEQ’s main objective remains the same: to disseminate knowledge about Quebec and promote its culture internationally by encouraging and supporting research, courses, seminars, and publications. Our network also enables partnerships and expertise sharing among students, professors, and researchers devoted to Quebec studies.
By visiting our webpages, you will find information regarding the different programs and services that our members benefit from: support to spread knowledge about Quebec, author and director tours, research and travel grants. You will be able to see the many advantages of becoming an Association member.
